Tanya Burr | Beautifully Defined Palette

I was so pleased when my mum bought me this. I saw it on Superdrug and other sites and really wanted to have it. I knew it was a limited edition palette so I kept thinking I would not get it.

The packaging is gorgeous and you can really tell that a lot of effort and time has been put into this palette. It has been presented beautifully and in an organised manner. The gold, pink, white shimmer and dark grey colour scheme looks beautiful and I love the flower and design of the front and inside. This palette is perfect if you are going on your travels because it has a heart shaped mirror, which is good so you don't have to take a spare mirror with you.

The eyeshadows are the favourite part of my palette. There are matte and shimmery eyeshadows. They are not irritable around your eyes and are rather lightweight. 'Silk Pyjamas' has to be my favourite shade as it goes with most make up looks and outfits and it blends the nicest. The other eyeshadows 'Cuddle Me' and 'Baking Brownies' are also lovely colours. The 'Baking Brownies' eyeshadow is a little difficult to blend compared to the others but it is a matte eyeshadow and is a darker colour. In my opinion, shimmery eyeshadows blend better compared to matte ones.

The face illuminator makes your skin glow and look radiant. It is in a beautiful, gold tube and squirts out easily. The illuminator is not as pigmented compared to other ones but you can see it and looks lovely. It gives a golden glimmer to your cheeks. Unfortunately, the illuminator did irritate my skin slightly. Then again, I do have very sensitive skin.

The bronzer 'Caramel Kiss' is beautifully made. It is the right colour and looks stunning in the summer. I feel it is as good as Benefit's Hoola bronzer. The bronzer enhances your cheeks and gives you that sun kissed tan glow. From the reviews I have read, this bronzer in the palette seems to suit most girls skin tones. It also blends and glides on lovely and doesn't create a line between your neck and face.

The powder highlighter 'Champagne Shimmer' is subtle but not so pigmented. This powder may be nicer to use for winter when you are looking for that pale and natural look. I think the bronzer and the powder suit different types of make up. If you are looking for a sun kissed tan look on your cheeks, then this bronzer is the one for you. But if you are looking for that natural make up look, then the powder is good to use.

Perhaps the palette could have been even better if it included a mini eyeshadow and blusher brush. This palette is no longer being sold but you might be able to buy it from websites like Amazon.

I really hope you enjoy this blog post. I love reviewing products and anything else.

Have a lovely evening,
Paige xo
