Tips for Motivation
So this is one of the most obvious and common tips but writing list and get all your tasks and jobs down on paper can really motivate you. I do know that when you write a list with everything you have to do can be a bit daunting because you think how I am going to have the energy and motivation to achieve all of this. I learned the 'rule of 3' from one of Anna's videos (TheAnnaEdit) on YouTube, which is the idea that you should write down the most important 3 tasks or jobs that has to be done each day. Another tip for list is learning the ABC rule. Write everything down you need to do and rank them in order what is the most important. All the A's on your list are the most important tasks and have to be done immediately. The B's on the list are important after all the A's have been ticked off the list. Then the C's can either be done on other days and when everything else is done. As you can see, this ABC system is illustrated in the photo above and really helps me get my work done. I will use this method when I am university.
#2...DO THE EASY TASK FIRST
Everyone always tells me to get the hardest task done first. If you are feeling really unmotivated, do the easiest task to make you feel like you have accomplished something. When I am unmotivated, I do the easiest task first because after a while I get motivated and then want to do the harder jobs.
#3...SET REMINDERS ON YOUR PHONE
On iCal, I set myself little reminders to motivate to do something. During exam season, I would put some quotations about success and motivation to get me to start studying. You could set a reminder like 'think what life will be like when you have done this' even if it is like making your bed or reading a page of a book.
#4...YOU DO NOT NEED TO FINISH YOUR TASK COMPLETELY
If you have started a job or a task in advance, you can break it up. Take a big essay for example. One day plan your introduction. Then the other days do your main body paragraphs and conclusion. You do not have to think that everything has to be done at once. I always think at night that it is a real effort to brush my teeth but I tell myself I just brush them a little bit. It is better than not brushing your teeth at all.
#5...PLAY YOUR FAVOURITE SONGS
Playing really songs that make you feel good can help you feel more motivated to do jobs. Sometimes I like playing Elvis Presley's 'Jailhouse Rock' and 'A Little Less Conversation' to get me motivated to do things. The band Earth, Wind & Fire's songs like September, Lets Groove and Boogie Wonderland gets me in the mood to do jobs. An ABBA song can always get you in the mood to work!

I believe that if you have some goals set in mind, you are more likely to get more done.
#7...HAVE A PICTURE IN MIND
When I am tired, drained and unmotivated and have tons of things to do, I always picture in my mind what things look like when I have done my jobs. If you are really unmotivated to tidy and clean your room, think how lovely it will look when it is done. Something that really gets me motivated to do jobs is looking on people's Tumblr's and Instagrams. If I am not in the mood to study, I will look at someone's StudyBlr and sometimes this has boosted my motivation.
#8...TRY NOT TO BURN YOURSELF OUT
When you are motivated, do not try to do everything at once and burn yourself out. If you are feeling motivated and want to get your tasks done, just have a sit down or have a stretch. If you are doing a standing job, after a while, have a sit down with a cup of tea and a biscuit.
#9...PACE YOURSELF
Number 8's tip really compliments this one. If you pace yourself when you are doing tasks, you are less likely to burn yourself out.
#10...TIME MANAGEMENT IS KEY
Planning how long things will take is really important of me and especially if you are a student. During my A Levels, I would look at all the work and homework I had to do and categorised it on a list as to how long each task will take. For example, if I had to do an English essay, I would spend 40-60 minutes on it. Sometimes I spend longer on some tasks than others which is alright if you make a good job of it.

I thought this would be a different post and help you all out there that struggle with getting motivated.
